My husband made it through Red Phase but,?

Although he made it through the Red Phase, he keeps saying he doesn't want to let us down and he reiterates that he is doing his best. He is 41 years old and joined the Military and is going through BCT as I type but he sounds so disappointed. He always says the DS's tell him that he won't make it and that he is garbage etc but I told him that is their job to break you down mentally ( 2 Sons Serving, not my first rodeo) anyways how much easier is it from here on out? Any help is greatly appreciated. I write him almost daily and send him photos to help him adjust. I miss him soo bad but refuse to let him know that I am lost without him as that could make matters worse! HELP LOL
